Paul Chaat Smith (Comanche), a well-known author, cultural critic, and co-curator of the Smithsonian National Museum

of the American Indian’s retrospective on Fritz Scholder will speak at 3:30 p.m. during the Sunday, September 13

opening reception. His campus presentation is co-sponsored by: The Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts;

the Native American Student Association; American Studies; Anthropology; Art, Art History and Design; English;

History; and the Snite Museum of Art.
