F. Richard Ciccone
F. Richard Ciccone has been an Adjunct Professor of American Studies and journalism at Notre Dame since 1993.
A newspaperman from 1961 to 2001, he was a reporter and editor at the Chicago Tribune for over 25 years, serving as managing editor from 1982 until 1995 and as associate editor from 1995 to 2001. As a political writer, he covered several presidential, gubernatorial, and mayoral campaigns and every national political convention over three decades. From 1961 until 1975, he was a correspondent for Associated Press.
He’s the author of several books, including Daley: Power and Presidential Politics (1996), Chicago and the American Dream (1999), and Royko, A Life in Print (2001).
