Matthew V. Storin

Matthew V. Storin is Adjunct Professor in American Studies and the John W. Gallivan Program in Journalism, Ethics and Democracy at Notre Dame.

From 2002 until 2005, he was the University’s Associate Vice President for News and Information following a nearly four-decade career in journalism.

Storin served as editor of The Boston Globe (1993-2001), executive editor of the Daily News of New York (1989-1992), editor of Maine Times (1988-89), and senior vice president and editor of the Chicago Sun-Times (1986-87).

He received his bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame in 1964, and an honorary doctor of laws degree from Notre Dame in 2006.
