Join the American Studies Department in welcoming Samantha Pinto, Director of the Humanities Institute, Professor of English, core faculty of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and affiliated faculty of African & African Diaspora Studies at The University of Texas at Austin.

Professor Pinto will be coming to Notre Dame on Monday, February 5th, to give a talk titled “Not Your Mother’s Hematology.” The talk will center around answering what “blood,” as material and metaphor, has meant to the study of race. The talk will take place in room 330 of O’Shaugnessy Hall, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
