What Do We Owe Each Other? Our Role In Supporting Our Immigrant Neighbors
Please join us as we discuss the impacts of deportation on immigrant families in our communities, especially in rural states like Indiana. The event will feature William Lopez, associate chair and clinical associate professor in the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health, author of the book Raiding the Heartland: An American Story of Deportation and Resistance, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
Lopez will be in conversation with Ashley Sanchez, an associate clinical professor of law and director of Notre Dame’s Immigration Clinic; Rev. Joseph V. Corpora, C.S.C., and undergraduate student Mia Patlan.
Adriana Cardona-Maguigad, immigration reporter for WBEZ Chicago, will moderate the panel.
Event is free and open to the public.
