Eric Cheuk is Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of American Studies. His teaching and research sit at the intersection of Black and Ethnic Studies, Critical University Studies, and the history of capitalism. His current book project narrates major flashpoints within the last four decades of humanistic thinking about race and racism – situating them within the twinned impasses of capitalism’s long downturn and the post-civil rights era turn to colorblindness and multiculturalism.
