Congratulations to Sophie White, promoted to Full Professor in the Department of American Studies. Sophie's book Voices of the Enslaved have won numerous awards including the The Mary Alice and Philip Boucher book prize, awarded for the best book upblished in 2019 on the French colonial experience from the sixteenth century to 1815. She was also awarded honorable mention for the OAH Merle Curti Prize. Included in her book awards also are the Williams Prize, the Summerlee Book Prize, and shortlisted for the Kenshur Prize for best book in 18th century Studies. Congratulations Sophie! Read more here
